Why this site exists
Anyone who owns an automatic watch sooner or later faces the same questions: Does my watch need a winder? Which number of turns is right? How do I store a growing collection safely? Most comparison sites answer this with interchangeable product lists, without ever talking about calibres, turns per day or security standards.
We do it differently: because we work with movements, power reserves and reference numbers every day at TopWatchReviews, we advise on accessories starting from the watch. To us, a watch winder is not a piece of furniture but a tool that has to suit the calibre of your watch. You will find exactly this depth in every buying guide on this site.
How we rate
Our recommendations are created editorially: we evaluate manufacturer information, technical data sheets, standards and documented user experiences and put them in context with our watch knowledge. Where we give a rating, it is clearly marked as an editorial rating. It is a reasoned assessment by the editorial team, not a laboratory measurement and not an average of invented user opinions.
Three rules are non-negotiable:
- No invented test results: We do not claim measurements that we cannot substantiate, and we say honestly when a figure comes from the manufacturer.
- No fantasy prices: We deliberately do not give current daily prices, only rough price classes for orientation. You can always check the current price directly in the linked shop.
